Merry Christmas everyone!
Mmmm.... Eyeballs!

These are yet another part of that THING I was making that I've shown various bits of so far. It got put aside for a bit while I worked on a hat and suddenly I realized.. oh CRAP.. I need to finish this too!
Don't worry, there were also tastier looking things that came out of that same oven later. Pics of those tomorrow. Or day after maybe.
Came across this on youtube.. it just had to be shared.
(and yay.. I got the youtube embedding thing working! Now when I don't have any real content, there's always SOMETHING entertaining on youtube, right?)
Ok, so not tonights dinner, but as I was looking through my memory card for photos for a post today, I realized I never posted about the pizza I had the other night. Now, I'm a big fan of pizza, be it just plain cheese and garlic or fully loaded up. And this one, folks, as truly fully loaded up.

This is the Wombo Combo from a place called Round Table Pizza. What all is on it? According to their website - primo pepperoni, linguica and Italian sausage, crisp bacon, white mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, artichoke hearts and green onions. Baked with a blend of 3 cheeses on our Zesty Red Sauce.
According to me, a whole LOT of yummy.
So I've seen this list make its rounds of many blogs out there and figured I'd take a turn. It takes a brave person to combine these two elements.

A tasty glass of wine, lots and lots of cabling, and now toss in some shaping as I do the decreases at the top of the mittens. This one should be done before I go to bed tonight.
As for the icord... I've gotten even MORE done today. Yesterdays was knit by hand. But today I crossed paths with an embellishknit. I now have many MANY yards of icord. Just one more element to knit, and then assembly, and I can show off what I'm making. I'm looking forward to that for sure!
Some time ago I was wandering in and out of some of the shops in town and came across this adorable shop that sol all kinds of old furniture and knickknacks. Most were easily identifiable. Then there was this case.

Yeah.. no clue. I asked the owner what it was, turns out SHE has no clue either. Didn't stop her from putting a price tag of $90 on it though! Curiosity is getting the better of me now and I really want to know what it was for! Anyone out there in blogland know?
A few weeks ago I started chatting with a lady I ran into at Starbucks. I was knitting and we got to talking about my dyeing yarn when she suggested I have a table at an upcoming holiday bazaar that this organization she was involved in was holding. Of course, I said yes. Then I realized.. I really don't have a heck of a lot of time to prep for this!
The bazaar is tomorrow.. I'm outthe door at 6:45 am and am I ready? of course not! The yarn is all packed up (which is why there was no shop update today - it'll be on sunday instead this week!) and now I'm getting all the odds and ends together. I'm really looking forward to this. As a teen, I used to work bazaar and craft show tables with my mom all the time. She sold crafts from India and later on jewelery she'd made. By my senior year I'd run a couple of these alone when my mom wasn't able to make it. So I should be a pro at these, right?
Except.. it's never been MY handiwork that I've been selling! It's been stuff we bought in India, or stuff that my mom made, not me. So while I'm excited, I'm also very nervous at launching my yarns in front of alive audience for the first time. I've been selling it online for 2 years now (wow.. where DID the time go?!) but this is something new and different. Think good thoughts for me tomorrow!!

Just a little something extra I made to have on my table tomorrow. A set of 6 gift enclosures for knitters to add to their handmade presents. If they do well at the bazaar, I may go ahead and add them to my shop too! And even if I don't and you're interested in a set, let me know - I can always make up a few to sell to my loyal blog readers, right? They're completly customizable to say Knitted or Crocheted or Sewn .. or anything else you like. I've also made up bands to go around socks, but I didn't get those printed up in time.
Another late night return home from a weekend from up in the bay area. This one was quite the trip! We hit the road and within minutes discovered we were going to be all but swimming our way home through fog as thick as pea soup.

Yeah.. great visibility huh? That was the view for much of the 4.5 drive home. I did see a licsence plate that made me laugh.. but htis was the best pic I got of it.

Not very impressive huh? Any guesses what it said?
